Step 1: Get an API token and your location
Integrate a custom weather app with Plecto. To create a Pirate Weather data source in Plecto, you need to provide the following information:
Retrieve an API token (also called key) from your Pirate Weather account to use in Plecto
Specify the latitude and longitude of the location you want to get weather data from
To get your API token from Pirate Weather:
Click Get an API key and sign in to your Pirate Weather account or create a new one. You should be able to get an API key when signed in.
Copy the token and store it in a safe place.
Move to Step 2 in this guide.
Step 2: Integrate Pirate Weather with Plecto
Go to Data sources >Β New data source > Pirate Weather.
(Optional) Rename your credentials.
Insert the API token you copied from your Pirate Weather account.
Add the latitude and longitude of the place you want to track weather metrics from. You can use tools like https://www.latlong.net/ to help you find the right location.
Select which units should be displayed.
Click Next.
Select the data you want to import.
Configure your data source settings. Here, you can change the title, choose the default date, select which fields to import, and more.
ClickΒ NextΒ to choose how much data to import and how long you want to keep it in the data source.
ClickΒ ImportΒ to finish.
