Add YouTube videos to your Plecto slideshows

You can easily add videos from YouTube as part of your Plecto slideshows. A slideshow can include dashboards, contests, YouTube videos, and other media that will automatically rotate on your TV screen.

For now, we only support links from YouTube.

  1. Go to YouTube and open the video you want to add to the slideshow.

  2. Copy the URL of the YouTube video.

  3. Go to Slideshows and create new or open an existing slideshow.

  4. Click the Add YouTube slide button and paste the video URL in your Plecto slide.

  5. (Optional) Set a custom slide length. If there are more than one slide in the slideshow, the slides will rotate every X seconds.

  6. Click Save to finish.

If you want to use the embedded URL

Alternatively, you can use the embedded URL from your YouTube video and add it to the slide in Plecto:

  1. Go to YouTube and open the video you want to add to the slideshow.

  2. Click the Share button below the video, then Embed. You will now see the complete embedded URL.

  3. Find and copy the embedded URL. The URL should look similar to the following: https://www.youtube.com/embed/laUmKHp0ubI

  4. Go to Slideshows and create new or open an existing slideshow.

  5. Click the Add YouTube slide button.

  6. Paste the embedded video URL in your Plecto slide.

  7. (Optional) Set a custom slide length (in seconds).

  8. Click Save.
