Step 1: Retrieve your ServiceNow credentials

To integrate your ServiceNow data with Plecto, you need to provide the following credentials:

  • Username

  • Password

  • Subdomain

How to find your ServiceNow credentials

🔥 Username and Password

These credentials are typically associated with your ServiceNow account. To obtain them:

  1. Log in to your ServiceNow account.

  2. Copy Username and Password for admin user or create a new one with these permissions (Roles):

    • itil

    • personalize_dictionary

    • soap_query

🔥 Subdomain

The Subdomain identifies the specific system you wish to integrate. To find it:

  1. Check the link for your system - "dev307881" in "https://dev307881.service-now.com/now/nav/ui/home"


Once you have retrieved all the credentials, move to Step 2 to connect your ServiceNow account with Plecto.

Step 2: Integrate ServiceNow with Plecto

  1. In Plecto, go to Data sources > New data source > ServiceNow.

  2. Enter your ServiceNow credentials and click Next.

  3. Select the data you want to import.

  4. Configure your data source settings. Here, you can change the title, choose the default date, select which fields to import, and more.

  5. Click Next to choose how much data to import and how long you want to keep it in the data source.

  6. Click Import to finish.
