What is a default employee?
Each registration in Plecto data sources must be associated with an employee profile, no matter if the profile belongs to a person or a data supplier such as Google Sheets, Stripe, or others.
When you import data, Plecto will look for employee profiles to match. If there are none, Plecto will create new employee profiles (without login access). All the employee profiles are listed under Organization > Employees.
Whenever a system is integrated with Plecto, we pre-select what data goes into the Employee field in a data source. If you don't change the settings while integrating Plecto, it will keep the default, pre-selected values. In some cases, if the pre-selected value is None, Plecto will use the name of the data supplier and create a profile for it, just like any other employee profile.
