What are contests?
Contests are a great gamification tool that helps you focus your team towards a common target and boost the team's performance in a friendly manner. 🏆
There are two types of contests in Plecto:
Player competition: Add individual players who will be participating in the contest. Give everyone the same target or add individual targets to each employee.
Team competition: Add existing teams or create custom teams for the contest. Give everyone the same target or add individual targets to each team.
How to measure people's performance?
When organizing a contest, you can use a Plecto formula that will be the KPI the players will be measured against. For example, Number of Booked Meetings.
Add either a target value, a contest end date, or both, and see who reaches the goal before the time runs out!
Contest themes
There are five contest themes to choose from:
Race in space: To win the competition, participants must move their spaceships across space and try to reach their targets.
Mountain race: Humans and Astronauts compete to see who can reach the top of the mountain first.
Classic: Classic contest layout showing people's profile pictures or team pictures.
Podium: Olympic-style competition where top 3 leaders are displayed on a podium.
Leaderboard: Light competition layout listing all participants in leaderboard rows.
Contest avatars
Use randomized contest avatars or personalize your own! Contest avatars are currently available with the Race in space and Mountain race themes.
Choose between a Human or Astronaut, pick your Spaceship color, and create your own unique contest avatar in Plecto.
To edit your avatar, go to your Account settings.
Contest introduction
Announce the contest with a colorful contest introduction! Add the contest to a slideshow, activate the slideshow on a TV, and you're ready to announce the contest!
You can only play the contest intro as many times as you want during the time when the contest is active.
How to play the contest introduction:
On a TV, open a slideshow that displays your contest.
On a computer, go to Contests, click the three dots on the right and choose Play intro on slideshow.
Plecto will immediately send the contest introduction video to the slideshow.
